Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of Solar EPC projects from initiation through commissioning and final handover, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, quality, and safety standards.
• Create and oversee detailed project execution plans including schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Prioritize tasks and coordinate among engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial departments for seamless project delivery.
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address critical issues promptly.
• Monitor progress against approved plans and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Serve as the primary contact between the company and NTPC or other strategic clients, maintaining professional relationships and managing expectations.
• Conduct regular project review meetings providing transparent updates on progress, delays, risks, and recovery initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with client and statutory requirements, technical standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with multiple internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial, Contracts, Commissioning) ensuring quality deliverables and timely procurement of materials.
• Oversee site construction activities including civil, structural, module installation, electrical tasks, infrastructure evacuation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage project scheduling using appropriate tools to track critical path activities and ensure milestone achievement.
• Monitor financial aspects including budgets, commitments, variations, and cost-to-complete, collaborating with commercial teams to control costs and manage claims.
• Promote adherence to quality management plans and a safety-oriented culture across project sites, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and environmental norms.
• Manage contractual understanding and coordination relating to EPC contracts, milestones, payment terms, warranties, change orders, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and KPIs to senior management while maintaining detailed documentation for governance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, define roles and KPIs, foster a collaborative and accountable work environment, and mentor team members to meet project objectives.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) from a reputable institution.
• Additional certifications in Project Management, Renewable Energy, or Business Management would be beneficial.
• Between 12 and 15 years of total professional experience.
• At least 8 years of pertinent experience managing Renewable Energy or Solar EPC projects, preferably large-scale.
• Experience with NTPC or similar PSU/government clients is highly favored.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, risk analysis, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
