About the Role
Join an innovative Australian R&D team supported by a major international tech company, leading the end-to-end project management of critical hardware and software product developments. This role involves collaborating with diverse engineering disciplines including software, hardware design, signal processing, and machine learning to ensure delivery of cutting-edge, compliant systems on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Manage the full life cycle of multidisciplinary product development projects coordinating internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Oversee budgeting and financial activities associated with projects.
- Apply expertise in systems engineering within a software development framework.
- Maintain a strong track record of successful project delivery in regulated environments.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in computer science or electronics engineering.
- Possess a recognised project management certification.
- Experience in managing projects involving software, hardware, signal processing, machine learning, and related disciplines.
- Demonstrated skills in budgeting and financial management.
- Australian citizenship is mandatory due to classified technology involvement.
Preferred Experience
- Previous background in software engineering or hardware design.
- Experience collaborating with teams specializing in C/C++, FPGA, AI/ML, and DSP engineering.
- Exposure to regulated sectors such as defence, biotechnology, payments, or gaming.
- Familiarity with technologies including autonomous vehicles, radar, sonar, biomedical devices, or gaming machines.
