Role Overview

The Project Manager/Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ado Ekiti. This position entails planning, coordinating, and overseeing investment and development projects from their inception through to completion. Responsibilities include creating detailed project plans, specifying the project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all align with organizational and governmental strategic goals. Daily activities involve liaising with internal teams, vendors, and government stakeholders, monitoring project milestones, managing risks and issues, and producing periodic status reports and documentation.

Additional duties include supervising procurement and logistical operations related to project delivery, supporting quality inspections, and guaranteeing the adherence to relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards. The role demands strong organizational capabilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to lead projects successfully within allocated timelines and resources.

Qualifications

• Competency in project management and expediting with a record of planning, execution, and project monitoring.
• Expertise in operational coordination, including expeditor roles and logistics oversight, ensuring timely delivery of procurement and supply chain demands.
• Skilled in inspection and quality assurance practices to maintain standards compliance for all project deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or comparable disciplines; possession of project management certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, proficient with project and productivity software such as MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, adept at collaborative work with government bodies, partners, and suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within on-site structured settings, managing multiple priorities and adhering to governance, regulation, and compliance mandates.
• Experience in public sector infrastructure or investment projects in Nigeria or similar contexts is beneficial.
