Role Overview

With expansion underway in our Lower North Island division to accommodate current and upcoming projects, an opening exists for a seasoned Project Manager based in Wellington. This role demands a proven ability to uphold safety, quality, budget, and timeline standards throughout the project's lifecycle. Experience managing commercial construction ventures exceeding $30 million in value is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with Site Management, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and clients to build and sustain strong relationships.
  • Coach and mentor project teams to enhance performance and outcomes.
  • Deliver projects adhering to or ahead of established schedules.
  • Oversee performance and management of subcontractors.
  • Ensure strict compliance with key project parameters including time, cost, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Exhibit a proactive and resilient work ethic with a positive approach.
  • Demonstrate extensive project management experience within large-scale commercial construction projects valued over $30 million.
  • Proficient in project programming, particularly using Microsoft Project.
  • Skilled in compiling project reports covering scheduling, financial health, quality, and health & safety metrics.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with an ability to inspire and guide project personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
