Job Overview
We seek a Project Manager to oversee comprehensive data center projects, encompassing design, construction, migration, expansion, and upgrades. This role demands meticulous planning, coordination with various internal departments and vendors, and ensuring projects finish on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of data center projects including design, building, migration, and modernization efforts.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Facilities, Network, Security, vendors, and contractors for smooth project execution.
- Track progress and guarantee timely completion adhering to defined scope and financial plans.
- Identify any potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Supervise the installation and activation of servers, storage devices, networking gear, power infrastructure, cooling systems, and monitoring tools.
- Manage vendor relationships, oversee procurement, and handle contract negotiations effectively.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant data center standards, safety requirements, and organizational policies.
- Organize project status meetings and communicate updates regularly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Guide change management processes and resolve issues during the project lifecycle.
- Lead relocation and migration projects to minimize business disruption.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports, lessons learned, and project closure records.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have experience in data center project management and a technical background in electrical and electronics engineering.
