Role Overview
This full-time Project Manager position, based in Dunedin with a hybrid mix of on-site and remote work, involves overseeing solar and electrical projects from start to finish. Responsibilities encompass defining project scopes, setting timelines, budget management, coordination with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and ensuring projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all phases of solar and electrical projects, including scope planning, scheduling, and budget oversight.
- Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain project alignment.
- Scheduling and monitoring project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Conducting site inspections to oversee quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Overseeing logistics including material deliveries and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Resolving issues impacting schedules and preparing comprehensive project reports and updates.
- Promoting effective communication and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning and coordination.
- Experience in expediting processes, managing orders, follow-ups, and timelines effectively.
- Inspection experience focused on site evaluations, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Skills in logistics management to handle materials and resources efficiently across projects.
- Background in electrical, solar, or construction industries is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage projects in a hybrid environment.
- Relevant tertiary education or industry certifications in project management, engineering, or related fields are preferred.
