Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of a significant public realm project located in Tralee, County Kerry. This full-time, permanent position demands accountability for ensuring safe work practices, adherence to schedule, and budget compliance.

• Oversee all site activities from project start to completion.
• Drive project delivery aligned with timelines, budgets, and contractual terms.
• Manage commercial operations and daily site performance.
• Coordinate teams including subcontractors, plant operations, and materials.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and consultants.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, handle variations, and manage change controls.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and contribute to team development.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering or infrastructure background with experience managing projects related to roads, utilities, or public realm works. Senior Engineers or Construction Managers aspiring to advance to project management roles will also be considered.

• Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Engineer, or Construction Manager.
• Proven track record delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial insight and contract management capabilities.
• Proficient in managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder and client engagement.
• Effective programme and resource management skills.
• Good knowledge of health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards.
• Demonstrates leadership ability and strong communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from €75,000 to €90,000, dependent on experience.

Location

This position is based in Tralee, County Kerry. Candidates residing in Kerry, Limerick, Clare, or Cork are preferred, although willingness to work on-site in Tralee is essential.
