Opportunity Overview

Save the Children International in Haiti is inviting applications to create a talent pool for future project manager roles. Role Objective

The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project execution from planning to completion, ensuring effective, efficient, and compliant delivery aligned with Save the Children Haiti and donor requirements. This leader will coordinate team efforts, make informed decisions, and maintain effective communication with project partners, government counterparts, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include supervising project implementation, managing operational aspects related to cash transfer mechanisms such as budgeting and reporting, partner coordination and representation, security, logistics, adherence to organizational policies and procedures, and team management.

During major humanitarian emergencies, the Project Manager may need to work beyond the standard role scope, including adjusting work hours as required.

Qualifications

• University degree in social sciences, education, psychology, project management, or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of NGO work environments, international institutions, and donor frameworks.
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Haitian Creole and French, with superior English communication skills both verbal and written.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years managing project cycles, especially within NGOs.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in education and child protection sectors.
• Strong grasp of Save the Children’s key focus areas, including Health, Education, and Child Protection.
• Significant background in logistics operations such as procurement, supply chain management, fleet management, and inventory.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in financial and budgetary controls.
• Able to represent the organization and engage effectively with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
• Proven collaboration with government entities at regional and local levels and experience working with isolated rural communities.
• Autonomous, results-driven with excellent time management and planning capabilities.
• Skilled in building productive working relationships and effective teamwork; experience in team management and development.
• Problem-solving expertise, particularly in humanitarian contexts.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Firm commitment to Save the Children’s values, principles, and objectives.
