Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator experienced in landscaping and swimming pool projects to join our expanding team based in Dubai. The successful candidate will prepare precise and competitive cost proposals, collaborating with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure projects are priced effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements thoroughly.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs to support accurate cost estimation.
- Develop cost estimates and comprehensive project quotes for landscaping and swimming pool works.
- Price various components including swimming pools, hardscape, softscape, irrigation systems, lighting, and other outdoor elements.
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain updated knowledge of material costs and labor rates.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality.
- Ensure quotations fully cover project scope and remain commercially viable.
- Assist in pricing variations and additional work requests during ongoing projects.
- Work closely with management to maintain robust project profit margins.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background as an estimator within landscaping and swimming pool sectors in Dubai or the wider UAE is mandatory.
- Thorough understanding of UAE-specific material, labor, and subcontractor market costs.
- Familiar with swimming pool construction techniques and landscaping processes.
- Competent in interpreting architectural, landscape, and technical drawings.
- Strong skills in quantity take-offs and creating BOQs.
- Excellent attention to detail complemented by strong commercial insight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and dedicated estimating/take-off software.
- Capable of handling multiple estimates and meeting strict deadlines simultaneously.
- Previous experience working in Dubai/UAE environments is highly preferred.
