Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Project Director specializing in infrastructure to lead and execute expansive infrastructure and masterplan projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This senior role entails overseeing all phases including planning, design, management, and successful completion of multifaceted infrastructure projects for government, large-scale developers, and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure the successful execution of major infrastructure and masterplan programs across Saudi Arabia from conception to finish.
  • Develop project execution strategies along with governance, delivery plans, and key performance targets.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams encompassing engineering, project management, commercial, planning, and specialty fields.
  • Maintain strict adherence to timelines, budgets, client specifications, and quality benchmarks.
  • Engage as the primary client representative and build robust relationships with government bodies, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Active participation in executive-level meetings, steering committees, and client governance forums to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Hold overall accountability for financial outcomes including budgeting, resource allocation, profitability, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical leadership and approval of critical deliverables ensuring compliance with industry standards and sustainability principles.
  • Ensure rigorous risk management, regulatory compliance, and uphold corporate governance policies within projects.
  • Contribute to strategic business growth by supporting bids, tenders, client engagement initiatives, and market positioning in the infrastructure sector.
  • Mentor and cultivate a high-performance culture among multidisciplinary teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline is required.
  • Over 20 years’ experience in engineering consultancy or major infrastructure development, ideally within multinational firms.
  • Proven success leading complex, large-scale infrastructure and masterplan projects specifically in Saudi Arabia.
  • In-depth technical expertise in civil engineering infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience directing multidisciplinary teams through full project lifecycles.
  • Strong client engagement skills with governmental and private sector entities.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen managing project profitability, contracts, and risk.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Professional accreditations such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Well-versed in Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure market and key development programs.
