This pivotal leadership position focuses on strategic oversight of project controls, planning, schedule assurance, business intelligence, and progress reporting for substantial and complex construction projects during their construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of project controls, scheduling, reporting, and performance management activities.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of the master project schedule ensuring schedule integrity, logic, and baseline control.
• Continuously monitor and analyze progress against planned milestones, identifying delays, risks, and trends.
• Evaluate contractor and consultant scheduling submissions, progress reports, recovery strategies, and performance documentation.
• Provide early alerts and professional recommendations addressing schedule adherence, costs, risks, and delivery challenges.
• Coordinate the preparation of weekly, monthly, and executive-level progress reports.
• Develop and manage business intelligence platforms such as dashboards, performance indicators, trend analyses, and management presentations.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent project reporting integrating data from scheduling, cost, risk, change, procurement, commercial, quality, and construction teams.
• Assess the impacts of changes, variations, design modifications, procurement delays, and construction challenges on project timelines.
• Lead delay analysis, time-impact assessments, recovery plan formulation, and mitigation tactics.
• Track contractor and consultant adherence to approved schedules and contractual obligations, facilitating performance reviews and key issue presentations to senior leadership.
• Maintain robust project control systems, including dashboards, registers, and reporting procedures.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to project controls, planning, and reporting teams.
• Support senior management decision-making through insightful analysis, forecasting, and performance recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 15 years of experience in construction, with significant exposure to large-scale complex construction projects during construction phases.
• Demonstrated expertise in project controls, planning, schedule assurance, progress reporting, and program management.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and other project management information systems.
• Experience in business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar.
• Strong background in cost control, risk management, change management, delay analysis, and commercial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, analytical reasoning, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
