About the Role
Join Kiwibank in Wellington as a Programme Quality Assurance Director and take the helm of a pivotal core banking transformation initiative that will shape the future of banking for New Zealand customers. This high-profile position allows you to create a lasting impact by influencing senior leadership, enhancing enterprise capabilities, and delivering transformational change aligned with Kiwibank’s mission to improve financial outcomes for Kiwis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance across the extensive core banking modernization programme.
- Provide strategic direction on integrating quality assurance, controls, and testing to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional quality activities to present clear assessments of programme readiness and risks spanning technology, compliance, vendors, and business units.
- Develop and implement quality frameworks, testing strategies, migration preparations, and defect management processes.
- Deliver crucial insights and assurance to inform Go/No Go decision-making points.
- Explore innovative approaches using emerging technologies such as AI to boost productivity, elevate quality, and enhance delivery effectiveness.
Candidate Profile
We seek an experienced strategic leader accustomed to guiding quality assurance in large-scale transformation settings. Ideal candidates will have:
- Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance and testing for sizable banking or financial service program transformations.
- Expertise in complex account migration projects and user acceptance testing initiatives.
- Proven ability managing multi-vendor technology delivery environments.
- Strong skills developing and maintaining quality frameworks, testing methodologies, and quality gates.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and financial accounting principles.
- Exceptional stakeholder management proficiency across technology, risk, compliance, and business sectors.
- Capability to identify assurance-related risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
