RobLawMax Recruitment is collaborating with RealNZ to recruit a Programme Manager to steer a major tourism development initiative in New Zealand. This role provides an exceptional chance to lead a multi-year capital development programme that will significantly influence an iconic tourist destination.

Primary Duties

• Oversee and coordinate the comprehensive capital development programme from planning through to delivery.
• Implement programme-wide monitoring and reporting that encompasses all projects and workstreams.
• Manage numerous concurrent projects spanning infrastructure, buildings, operations, and visitor experience enhancements.
• Create and maintain programme plans, staging strategies, budgets, and business cases.
• Oversee engagement with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Track programme performance, risk factors, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
• Support governance reporting and assist executive teams with decision-making.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety standards, are efficiently executed, and align with the organisation's strategic vision.
• Identify avenues to boost commercial performance, operational efficiency, and visitor satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

Potential candidates may currently hold roles such as Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager, Development Manager, Capital Projects Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Manager, or Project Director. Ideal applicants will have proven expertise in managing and delivering complex capital programmes or large-scale projects, demonstrating skill in juggling multiple consultants, contractors, and stakeholders with competing priorities.

Key competencies include strong commercial insight, proficient financial and programme management, and effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience in domains like infrastructure, vertical construction, property development, engineering, healthcare, education, or industrial sectors with multifaceted capital environments is valued. The role demands the capability to provide structure and transparency across simultaneous projects, foster stakeholder consensus, and uphold delivery momentum.
