Role Overview

The Programme Manager will join the Strategy, Planning and Delivery team within Farm Source, reporting to the GM Strategy, Planning and Delivery. This role demands leadership of large, complex, strategic programmes crucial to Farm Source's and the Co-operative's future success. The successful candidate will translate strategy into action plans by integrating multiple workstreams, managing diverse stakeholders, and aligning enterprise priorities to deliver impactful outcomes for farmers and the organization.

The position requires cross-business collaboration, engaging senior leadership, external partners, and governance forums to foster alignment and ensure program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and benefits realization of major, complex strategic programmes
• Convert strategic goals into clear roadmaps highlighting priorities, milestones, and measurable results
• Develop and sustain robust relationships with senior leaders, programme sponsors, governance bodies, and external stakeholders
• Manage programme budgets, identify and mitigate risks, coordinate dependencies and resources, and provide regular reporting
• Offer evidence-based guidance and decision-making support to governance committees
• Steer programme performance to maintain focus on achieving defined objectives
• Introduce structured and disciplined programme management practices in dynamic, evolving environments

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide, large-scale strategic initiatives
• Expertise in programme management disciplines such as governance, planning, budgeting, risk and benefits management
• Skilled in engaging, influencing, and collaborating with senior executives and stakeholders
• Experience working with external partners, industry groups, or stakeholder organizations
• Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities
• Strong commercial understanding with the capacity to balance competing demands and trade-offs
• Ability to view challenges from an enterprise perspective and link strategy to operational delivery
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional programme management certification
• Background in sustainability, primary industries, agriculture, or customer-facing roles is advantageous
