Job description

About the Role

At Fonterra Te Mātāpuna, we're committed to fostering an environment where everyone can be their authentic selves, regardless of career stage. As a global dairy co-operative owned by New Zealand farmers, we prioritize care, collaboration, and meaningful contribution in all we do. This role presents a compelling chance to lead the strategy, roadmap, and continual advancement of our Farm Performance digital product suite.

This unique position enables you to influence digital solutions that empower New Zealand farmers to make smarter decisions, enhance farm productivity, and generate enduring value for their businesses and our Co-operative. Working collaboratively with farmers, business stakeholders, and digital teams, you'll unearth opportunities, resolve significant challenges, and deliver impactful digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As a central figure in the Farm Source Digital, Data & AI team, you will define the product vision and direction, steer investment choices, and champion adoption and success across products serving vital New Zealand agricultural enterprises.

Candidate Profile

You are a strategic and user-centered Product Manager with a knack for translating insights into actionable plans while uniting diverse groups towards a shared objective. Tackling complex challenges, managing conflicting priorities, and consistently delivering value-driven products energize you.

Your role involves direct engagement with farmers to discern their needs, leading delivery teams to realize concepts, and collaborating with senior partners to influence strategic and financial decisions. Curiosity, commercial mindset, and passion for enhancing farming outcomes are your trademarks. You excel in applying experience design methodologies, guiding business and cross-functional teams through structured ideation to ensure correct solutions target appropriate opportunities. Your expertise spans comprehensive product management and experience design, deeply rooted in a genuine passion for New Zealand agriculture and its farmers.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Over 10 years’ experience in Product Management, digital delivery, experience design, agritech, fintech, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end product lifecycle management from strategy, discovery, design, delivery, to go-to-market and ongoing improvements.
  • Experience fostering cross-industry collaboration by building trusted partnerships to deliver scalable value.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate measurable business and user outcomes via digital products and services.
  • Competency in creating product strategies, roadmaps, business cases, and managing product investment decisions.
  • Leadership experience with Product Owners, digital delivery teams, and multi-disciplinary vendor teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget oversight, benefits realization, and value delivery.
