About the Role
With ongoing expansion and increasing acceptance of IDEXX's diagnostic and software solutions among veterinary practices in Australia and New Zealand, the Veterinary Professional Services team is growing. We seek a skilled Professional Services Veterinarian based in Sydney or its surroundings to collaborate closely with veterinary clinics across New South Wales. This permanent position involves empowering veterinary professionals through education, training, and joint efforts to enhance patient care and optimize the application of IDEXX's range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with veterinary practice owners and clinicians primarily in person to uphold high clinical standards and diagnostic protocols that improve patient outcomes.
- Deliver continual education, training, and support to veterinary staff and crucial customers encouraging positive clinical impacts.
- Employ a consultative approach to identify customer requirements and promote better usage of diagnostic tools and elevated standards of care.
- Work hand-in-hand with sales and field support teams to achieve outstanding results for customers.
- Collaborate internally within IDEXX to provide technical training on best practices and diagnostics education.
- Reprsent IDEXX in discussions with key customers, opinion leaders, and veterinary organizations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable speaker at professional conferences and industry gatherings.
- Support and help develop medical communication relating to IDEXX’s product and service offerings.
- Forge strong relationships acting as a trusted clinical consultant in the veterinary community.
- Be prepared for extensive travel within your assigned region to provide customer service and advance business goals.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a veterinary degree (BVSc, DVM, or equivalent).
- Registered to practice veterinary medicine in Australia with a minimum of 3 years practical veterinary experience.
- Has a deep understanding and enthusiasm for IDEXX’s products and services, with the capability to effectively communicate their benefits.
- Demonstrates natural curiosity along with strong persuasion skills and credibility building within veterinary circles.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Is enthusiastic about delivering education and supporting continuous learning among veterinary professionals.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities successfully.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within team settings.
- Willing and able to travel frequently throughout the designated area.
- Prior experience in veterinary commercial roles or customer-focused environments is highly regarded.
- Experience in diagnostic veterinary pathology is considered a valued asset.
