Production Technician

Job Overview

The Production Technician role entails managing daily manufacturing activities while strictly adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This operational position involves hands-on handling and supervision of production equipment to ensure scheduled outputs are met. The role also requires supporting cross-departmental troubleshooting efforts, promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance, mitigating risks, and providing training to peers.

Key Responsibilities

• Strictly follow and uphold cGMP principles to maintain high-quality manufacturing standards.
• Comply with the established quality management systems.
• Operate production machinery and oversee production processes in line with SOPs and BMR guidelines.
• Adhere to production schedules to achieve targeted outputs.
• Follow all prescribed safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to prevent any interruptions to production.
• Provide training to new staff on production processes and equipment usage.
• Carry out daily operations in compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
• Identify, minimize, and prevent potential environmental impacts and safety risks within production activities.
• Participate actively in EHS-related initiatives, including audits and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Diploma qualification.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry operations and procedures.
• Understanding of cGMP principles is essential.
