Role Overview

The Production Team Member position is a full-time role situated on-site at the Elmira facility. This role encompasses supporting daily operations of the distillery, which involves tasks such as preparing production materials, operating machinery, monitoring ongoing processes, assisting in bottling and packaging, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Team members are expected to follow prescribed standard operating procedures and quality and safety guidelines, work cooperatively with colleagues to meet production timelines, organize inventory and materials efficiently, and communicate any concerns or suggestions to supervisory staff. The role requires occasional manual labor, including lifting and physically active duties, with flexibility in working hours depending on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in production planning and management by organizing assigned tasks and helping to achieve production goals.
  • Participate in operating and maintaining distillery equipment and machinery safely.
  • Support bottling and packaging processes as part of the production workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors through clear communication and teamwork.
  • Identify and report process issues or suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for prolonged intervals when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Capability to support production planning and management activities including task coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction within the team and with supervisors.
  • Keen attention to detail with an understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and train on distillery equipment, safety, and procedural protocols.
  • Basic mechanical understanding and ability to safely operate production machinery and tools.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and the physical capacity for manual labor tasks.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, food and beverage, or distillery operations is beneficial.
  • Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent; further technical or production-related education is advantageous.

Additional Information

  • Compensation: $21 per hour
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
