Job description
About the Role
Steel Age India Engineers is seeking a Production Planning and Control (PPC) Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy fabrication manufacturing. This role is based in Dheu, Pune with interviews held in Bhosari, Pune. The candidate will be instrumental in preparing and overseeing production plans to meet customer requirements, coordinating various departments to ensure seamless production flow, and supporting management to meet production targets and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and supervise production schedules aligned with customer demands.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and other teams for smooth operations.
- Plan production considering material availability, machine capacity, and delivery timelines.
- Track daily production progress to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Generate and update production planning, scheduling, and MIS reports.
- Monitor work orders, production milestones, and pending tasks.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for the timely supply of raw materials.
- Keep track of inventory levels, material usage, and production needs.
- Detect production bottlenecks or delays and work with respective departments for prompt resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive PPC documentation and records.
- Foster effective communication between planning and shop-floor teams.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient understanding of Production Planning and Control methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or fabrication production planning.
- Strong command over MS Excel and ERP software systems.
- Excellent coordination and communication capabilities.
- Ability to manage production schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, material planning, and inventory management.
- Educational qualification of Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Candidates must have prior experience in Heavy Fabrication Manufacturing to be considered.
Interview & Job Location
Interviews will take place at Bhosari, Pune, while the job location is at Dheu, Pune.
Compensation
Monthly salary ranges from 25,000 to 45,000 INR based on experience and qualifications.
