Accountant

About the Role

Steel Age India Engineers is seeking an experienced Accountant with 2 to 5 years of expertise to join their team in Dheu, Maharashtra. The position involves handling comprehensive day-to-day accounting and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting. Interviews will be conducted at Bhosari, Pune.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Ensure GST compliance by preparing and filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and performing GSTR-2B reconciliation.
• Calculate TDS, manage payments, and file returns in a timely manner.
• Handle Income Tax computations and overall tax compliance.
• Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports including Profit & Loss statements, and manage receivables and payables.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Conduct monthly and year-end financial closings to maintain accurate books.
• Support audits by coordinating with auditors and tax consultants.
• Manage manufacturing-related accounting activities including inventory and stock reconciliation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding and practical experience in Accounting, GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions.
• Experience working with Tally or ERP accounting software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing accounts and finance processes.
• Capability in bank and ledger reconciliation practices.
• Educational qualification of B.Com or M.Com is required.

The job location is in Dheu, Maharashtra, with interviews being held at Bhosari, Pune. Candidates should have an experience range between 2 to 5 years for this role.
