Production Planner

Position Overview

The Production Planner will be responsible for orchestrating production activities within the Low Risk Ham and Poultry departments. This involves ensuring production aligns with customer demands, optimizes capacity, manages material availability, and supports smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate achievable production schedules that reflect customer needs, inventory levels, resource availability, and production capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with multiple departments including Production, Procurement, Technical, Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics, and Commercial to guarantee materials and packaging are in place and production processes are efficient.
• Monitor production progress, swiftly address issues, and maintain continuous production flow in a fast-paced setting.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 2 to 5 or more years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
• Experience in meat, ham, poultry, or chilled food production is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of production operations encompassing labor management, capacity planning, changeovers, downtime, and raw material constraints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable analyzing and utilizing data.
• Knowledgeable about food safety practices including traceability, allergen control, stock rotation, and sequencing.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Adaptable and capable of quick, confident decision-making when encountering changes in production schedules.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective cross-department collaboration.
