About the Role
Join Cloudy Bay Vineyards as a Production Operator located in Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand. In this role, you will contribute to packaging and processing wine products destined for markets worldwide. The position involves diverse tasks, including filling, labelling, disgorging, stock rework, supporting warehousing, and operating equipment, all while being part of a team that prioritizes quality, safety, and continuous enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate wine packaging and processing machinery efficiently.
- Keep an eye on product quality and monitor production performance metrics.
- Accurately complete required production documentation.
- Support cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines.
- Assist in stock rework tasks as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to fostering a positive team environment.
- Engage in vintage season and other operational activities when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have legal authorization to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship available).
- Experience working in a production line setting, ideally within food or beverage sectors.
- Competence in operating and maintaining production machinery.
- Ability to comply with standard operating procedures and maintain quality standards.
- Strong dedication to workplace health and safety practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and operate a variety of equipment.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and remain standing for long durations.
- Good mechanical skills; forklift license is a plus but not mandatory.
