About the Role
Join BOC Limited New Zealand as a Production Operator based in Sockburn, Christchurch, Canterbury. This hands-on position focuses on the filling, handling, testing, and refurbishing of gas cylinders alongside operating associated machinery within a safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill, handle, test, and refurbish BOC gas cylinders according to company protocols
- Operate equipment designed for the processing and handling of packaged gases
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment
- Contribute to reducing waste and maintaining effective loss control measures
- Follow daily production schedules and maintain accurate stock records
- Collaborate with team members to maintain seamless production flow
- Deliver excellent service quality to both internal and external stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- Experience working in production, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Comfortable with manual labor and physical handling tasks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to comprehend and execute detailed instructions and procedures
- Demonstrates a firm commitment to health and safety standards
- Works well within a team environment and displays willingness to support colleagues
- Having a forklift licence is a plus but not mandatory
