Production / Manufacturing Head

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production / Manufacturing Head to oversee the entire electrical panel manufacturing process at Stech Power Industries, located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This leadership role demands hands-on involvement in planning, coordinating, and supervising production, ensuring delivery meets quality standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage production schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to meet targets efficiently.
• Take full responsibility for manufacturing electrical panels from initial drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) through final dispatch.
• Coordinate diverse production activities including CNC fiber laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, press brake bending, welding, powder coating, busbar processing, panel assembly, electrical wiring, testing, inspection, and dispatch.
• Interpret electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and wiring drawings accurately.
• Collaborate across teams such as Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Project departments to align production efforts.
• Allocate workforce effectively based on production priorities and maintain discipline and productivity among workers.
• Ensure all production conforms to approved drawings and BOMs, identifying and resolving manufacturing bottlenecks to avoid delays.
• Reduce waste of materials and minimize rework by implementing efficient processes like optimized sheet cutting and nesting.
• Supervise CNC fiber laser machine operators to maximize machine utilization and production efficiency.
• Oversee busbar fabrication and assembly stages, and conduct stage-wise inspection of production output.
• Prepare panels timely for customer, RITES, and third-party inspections.
• Maintain comprehensive production records including daily reports and tracking pending tasks.
• Train production staff to enhance skills and maintain shop floor discipline, safety, and 5S standards.
• Take responsibility for meeting production targets and ensuring timely deliveries.

Technical Experience Required

• Hands-on experience with LT electrical panels including PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF/Auto Changeover, MDB/SMDB, and synchronising panels.
• Knowledge of electrical switchgear and busbar fabrication.
• Experience in sheet-metal panel fabrication, CNC fiber laser cutting, and press brake or CNC bending.
• Expertise in panel assembly, wiring, electrical panel testing, and customer or third-party inspection processes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in electrical panel manufacturing.
• Solid practical knowledge of LT panel manufacturing workflows and ability to read electrical and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Demonstrated experience leading production teams comprising workers and technicians.
• Familiarity with operating and managing CNC fiber laser or compatible sheet-metal CNC machinery.
• Strong independent shop floor planning and production control skills.
• Capability in problem-solving and managing team dynamics.
• Willingness and ability to engage hands-on on the shop floor as a working leader.
