Production Executive - Packaging & ERP

Overview

Saaro Packaging is seeking a seasoned Production Executive with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in packaging production and ERP systems management. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed production job sheets, managing bills of materials (BOMs), coordinating production orders, and overseeing material requirements within ERP platforms to ensure seamless operations in the packaging domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate production job sheets based on confirmed customer orders ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Set up and administer BOMs, production orders, and material needs within the ERP system.
• Liaise and coordinate effectively across Sales, Purchasing, Stores, and Production teams.
• Verify production specifications, quantities, materials, processes, and approved samples prior to job releases to prevent discrepancies.
• Monitor and track various production stages, maintaining up-to-date records in ERP software.
• Maintain precise records of material consumption, wastage, and production forecasts.
• Proactively identify and address inconsistencies or deviations in specifications before initiating production.

Essential Knowledge and Expertise

Candidates must demonstrate robust practical experience across all three primary packaging categories:

• Rigid Boxes: Knowledge of greyboard, paper, and wrapping materials, including printing, lamination, foiling, embossing, die-cutting, pasting, assembly, and specialized boxes with magnets, ribbons, or accessories.
• Monocartons: Familiarity with paperboard/GSM, offset printing, lamination/coating methods, die-cutting, creasing, pasting, and folding carton structures.
• Corrugated Boxes: Understanding of kraft, fluting, liner specifications; multi-ply constructions (3, 5, 7-ply); various flute types; printing, die-cutting, stitching/pasting processes; and box dimension/material requirements.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in packaging production environments.
• Strong experience working with ERP systems, beyond basic data entry, highlighting production planning and material management aspects.
• Proficient in BOM preparation, production planning, and calculating material consumption.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to interpret technical specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Preference for candidates with combined experience in rigid box, monocarton, and corrugated packaging sectors.

Additional Details

This role demands a packaging industry professional with solid ERP understanding to bridge production management and technical execution effectively. Candidates merely familiar with ERP data entry will not meet the role’s requirements.

Compensation

The remuneration package ranges between INR 25,000 and INR 40,000 per month, commensurate with experience and expertise.

The position is based in Bhiwandi, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
