About Axi
Axi is a prominent global provider specializing in margin and deliverable Foreign Exchange, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and Financial Spread Betting. Operating with offices across six regions, Axi invests heavily in cutting-edge trading technology, aiming to deliver an all-encompassing trading experience ranging from beginner to institutional-level clients.
Role Overview
As a Product Manager focusing on Trading Experience, you will lead the development and enhancement of critical product features on Axi’s app and web trading platforms. Your efforts will focus on improving how traders find market opportunities, execute trades, manage their portfolios, track performance, and navigate the overall trading lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously update the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Axi's trading experience platforms, aligning with corporate goals and user needs.
- Enhance trader-facing functionalities, including market discovery tools, watchlists, charting, order entry systems, trade execution processes, position management, order histories, alerts, account metrics, margin visibility, and portfolio tracking.
- Deeply understand trader expectations around speed, reliability, transparency, ease of use, clear execution, accurate pricing, and access to pertinent trading data.
- Collaborate closely with teams across engineering, design, data analytics, trading, eFX, compliance, risk, operations, middle office, support, and commercial divisions to ensure end-to-end delivery of product enhancements.
- Coordinate with middle office and operational stakeholders to comprehend trade lifecycle workflows such as trade capture, validation, reconciliation, exposure monitoring, reporting, and problem resolution.
- Work alongside eFX and trading teams to address factors affecting execution quality, including pricing, liquidity, latency, slippage, order routing, trade rejection, trade flow, and overall platform performance.
- Translate complex trader needs, business goals, technical and operational constraints into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, and prioritized backlogs for engineering implementation.
- Leverage data, client feedback, trading behaviours, support insights, funnel analysis, platform analytics, and qualitative research to identify user friction points and prioritize product enhancements.
- Lead launch activities and continual improvement of features to elevate the trading experience across web and mobile platforms.
- Track and analyze product performance metrics including adoption rates, user engagement, conversion metrics, trade execution statistics, client feedback, incident trends, and operational impact.
- Ensure product capabilities comply with regulatory, risk management, compliance, and operational standards, especially related to trading, execution, leverage, margin, risk disclosures, promotions, and client communications.
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication with stakeholders regarding roadmap progress, priority trade-offs, risks, end-user impact, and business results.
- Balanace trader experience, commercial goals, regulatory requirements, technical feasibility, and operational robustness in making product decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience, predominantly focused on product management within trading platforms, fintech, brokerage, investment applications, FX, CFDs, wealth management, payments, or comparable complex digital products.
- Proven experience creating or refining app and web product experiences for customers engaged in high-frequency, high-stakes, or financially sensitive transactions.
- Possess a solid understanding or passionate personal interest in trading products and trader behavior, with comprehension of requirements before, during, and after trade execution.
- Familiarity with trading platform features such as market search, watchlists, charting tools, order placement, position management, trade history, account balances, margin utilisation, P&L analysis, alerts, deposits, withdrawals, and reporting.
- Demonstrated success in owning and delivering software products or enhancements across web and/or mobile platforms.
- Comfortable managing the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Strong product intuition, capable of setting strategic direction and handling tactical execution details.
- Ability to clarify complex trading, operational, technical, and commercial factors into straightforward, scalable, and user-friendly product solutions.
- Experienced in using customer and market insights, analytics, trading data, stakeholder feedback, competitor analysis, and user reviews to drive product decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence diverse teams including technical and non-technical stakeholders across product, engineering, trading, operations, risk, and compliance.
- Skilled in prioritization and managing multiple simultaneous initiatives while making effective trade-offs.
- Exhibits strong ownership, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to work.
