Product Manager - Red Team Platform Security

Team Overview

This team specializes in conducting adversarial testing and assessment of global content security infrastructures. Their mandate involves simulating attacker perspectives to uncover system weaknesses and suggest robust improvements, ensuring content safety across diverse cultures and languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead identification and analysis of threat patterns by synthesizing signals from TikTok's platform, external reports, competitive insights, and threat intelligence to discover emerging abuses and evasion strategies.
• Maintain and grow an adversarial knowledge repository including evasion taxonomies and abuse frameworks, converting unstructured data into actionable threat patterns.
• Architect and oversee an end-to-end pipeline for generating high-fidelity adversarial samples aligned with abuse and evasion coverage standards, establishing tooling, methodologies, and quality criteria.
• Design and implement challenging adversarial testing programs that realistically evaluate platform defenses, establish metrics and reports, and facilitate improvements through a continuous feedback cycle with policies, models, and operations.
• Drive the development and deployment of AI-powered agent systems leveraging large language models to automate Red Team tasks such as signal triage, pattern matching, analysis, and sample creation with defined workflows, human oversight, and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or related disciplines.
• Over five years of professional experience in content security, trust and safety, or adversarial testing, preferably within large consumer platforms.
• Deep understanding of content moderation technologies and procedures.
• Practical experience designing or implementing AI/LLM-based applications including agent workflows, prompt engineering, or automation tools powered by large language models.
• Proven success in managing complex programs with multiple workstreams and collaborative dependencies.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in crafting AI agent pipelines for operational automation, including signal triage, classification, and structured data outputs.
• Knowledge of adversarial attack methods targeting machine learning systems such as evasion techniques, prompt injections, or multimodal attacks.
• Background in threat intelligence, OSINT, or dark web monitoring within trust and safety contexts.
• Awareness of global content security policies and the nuances of regional regulatory compliance.
