Originating from The Flex, a successful short-term rental operator who developed its own software, Base360.ai now offers a standalone platform to rental operators worldwide. The platform consolidates reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance, and reporting into a unified system, helping operators reduce manual work, cut costs, increase revenue, and scale efficiently.

Your Role

As a Product Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping and expanding Base360.ai to cover the entire short-term rental lifecycle. Your responsibilities include creating customer-facing features, operational dashboards, automation engines, AI-driven workflows, and essential integrations that support property managers in expanding their portfolios without increasing workload proportionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with property managers and internal teams to deeply understand workflows and identify critical pain points worthy of resolution.
• Develop end-to-end product features, handling everything from concept and prototyping to front-end, back-end, integration, testing, and deployment, owning the user experience and product performance in production.
• Design intuitive user interfaces in partnership with designers to simplify complex operational tasks and enhance user confidence and speed.
• Create event-driven automation workflows that eliminate repetitive tasks such as cleaning schedules, guest check-ins, and financial reporting.
• Leverage AI, including large language models and AI agents, to automate guest communication, prioritize maintenance requests, assist pricing decisions, and optimize portfolio management.
• Construct dependable APIs and build integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google to ensure smooth ecosystem connectivity.
• Address real-world operational challenges including real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing, smart locking systems, multi-channel communication, operational forecasting, and financial workflows.
• Continuously measure feature adoption and improve products based on customer feedback, time-saving metrics, error rates, and user outcomes.
• Make thoughtful technical choices balancing rapid delivery, maintainability, security, and reliability as the platform scales.

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

• Proven experience delivering production-grade software across frontend and backend technologies.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or comparable frameworks and languages.
• Strong understanding of APIs, database management, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
• A product-driven mindset focused on understanding user needs and delivering valuable features.
• Ability to make sound usability and technical trade-off decisions.
• Capability to transform ambiguous challenges into practical solutions.
• Comfort working directly with customers, designers, and founders, and independently owning outcomes.
• Interest in AI, automation, and improving operational efficiency.
• A bias toward shipping early, learning quickly, and iterating continuously.

Bonus Experience

• Expertise in short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management platforms.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, marketplaces, and booking channel integrations.
• Knowledge of AI agents, workflow automation, product analytics, experimentation, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Supabase and AWS serverless infrastructure.
