We are seeking a dynamic Product Engineer who thrives on transforming actual customer challenges into seamless, reliable software solutions. The role involves collaborating closely with founders, designers, and property managers to identify critical needs, deliver effective features, and iterate based on user feedback. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with property managers and internal stakeholders to deeply understand operational workflows and identify friction points worth addressing.
• Develop end-to-end software features from initial concept and prototype through frontend and backend implementation, integrations, testing, and deployment, owning the full user experience and system performance.
• Collaborate with designers to craft intuitive interfaces that simplify complex rental operations and enable users to perform tasks efficiently and confidently.
• Build automated, event-driven workflows that eliminate mundane manual work such as scheduling cleaning, sending check-in instructions, and generating financial reports.
• Incorporate AI technologies, including large language models and AI agents, to automate guest communications, maintenance triage, pricing decisions, and portfolio management tasks.
• Design and maintain stable APIs and integrations with partners like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google within the rental ecosystem.
• Develop solutions to key operational problems including real-time reservation syncing, dynamic pricing, smart lock access, guest communication automation, operational forecasting, and AI-powered monitoring and alerts.
• Consistently measure product effectiveness through user feedback, usage data, and operational metrics to improve adoption, reduce errors, and enhance user outcomes.
• Make technically sound decisions balancing delivery speed, maintainability, security, and scalability as the user base grows.

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise in developing and shipping production-grade software across frontend and backend environments.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI or similar modern technologies.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure design.
• Product-oriented mindset with curiosity about user needs and the ability to balance usability, scope, and technical trade-offs effectively.
• Ability to translate ambiguous challenges into practical, working solutions.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers, designers, and company founders.
• Highly autonomous with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for outcomes.
• Genuine interest in AI, automation, and improving operational efficiencies.
• A bias towards delivering incrementally, learning continuously, and iterating rapidly.
