Job description

Role Overview

The Product Designer will lead user-centric design initiatives throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on identifying user requirements, validating challenges, and designing user-friendly experiences that align with business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting user interviews, usability testing, and stakeholder workshops to gather insights.
  • Identifying user pain points, needs, and uncovering opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to inform design decisions.
  • Developing user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed high-fidelity designs.
  • Designing intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces.
  • Building and maintaining consistent design systems and standards.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Leads and Engineering teams to guide product strategy.
  • Transforming business goals into user-focused design solutions and prioritizing based on impact.
  • Planning and executing usability testing to validate design effectiveness.
  • Analyzing user feedback and behavioral data to continuously refine designs.
  • Iterating design work grounded in evidence and measurable performance outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational background in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Digital Media, Visual Communication, Information Systems, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or Service Design; candidates with 5 to 8 years may be considered for senior roles based on portfolio quality and product delivery experience.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing comprehensive product design processes including problem framing, user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, visual design, and iterations based on data.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert complex user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints into simple, accessible, scalable digital products.
  • Expertise in Figma and contemporary design methodologies such as component libraries, design systems, interactive prototyping, and seamless developer handoff.
  • Strong grasp of accessibility standards, responsive design, usability best practices, information architecture, interaction design, and clear content presentation.
  • Experience facilitating and supporting user interviews, usability evaluations, stakeholder engagements, co-creation workshops, and design critique sessions.
  • Comfortable working alongside Product Leads, Engineers, and Business Analysts within agile or cross-functional product team environments.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to effectively articulate design decisions to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, consumer-facing digital services, SaaS offerings, government digital services, or internal productivity tools is desirable.
  • Awareness of tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, analytics dashboards, and user feedback systems is an added advantage.
