Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker offers a valuable chance to gain experience in a busy retail setting. This role focuses on providing outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart’s core values while ensuring the produce department remains orderly, fully stocked, and appealing. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the produce section clean, organized, and well-arranged for customer readiness at all times.
- Regularly check product quality by rotating stock and removing expired items to guarantee freshness.
- Ensure all produce is priced correctly with proper signage, following procedures regarding ordering, clearance, labels, markups, and markdowns.
- Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines, including sanitation, temperature controls, cold chain protocols, and correct handling of products with attention to expiration dates.
- Stock and downstock items correctly, apply protective measures to products when necessary, and set product displays such as modulars, flex modulars, and shelf caps.
- Observe all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and clean workplace.
- Be flexible to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
Challenges in This Role
- Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts requiring effective planning to maintain energy and focus.
- Handle physical demands such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting inventory or equipment up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with careful attention to detail and consistency to meet store standards.

Compensation
The starting pay rate for this position is $18.05 per hour.
