Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and neatly zoned produce area to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce and remove expired items to guarantee quality and freshness.
• Ensure all produce items are accurately priced and signed, complying with protocols for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labels, and signage.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures, including temperature monitoring, thermometer use, proper handling, and respecting sell-by and expiration dates.
• Manage stocking and downstocking of merchandise, apply product protection where necessary, and arrange modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to keep the department fully stocked.
• Follow health and safety policies to promote a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Be flexible with work schedule, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for smooth store operations.

Challenges Associated with the Role

• Effectively handle overnight shifts and plan accordingly to remain alert and focused.
• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently, ensuring restocking and recovery duties are completed accurately within deadlines.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as extended standing, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently perform repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with precision to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.20 per hour.
