Job description
Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker offers a wonderful chance to develop skills in a fast-moving retail setting. This role focuses on excellent customer service by embodying Walmart’s core values, ensuring the produce section is orderly and fully replenished, and actively supporting the availability of fresh products. It is ideal for those interested in customer service or retail positions aiming to enhance a positive shopping environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain the produce area cleanliness, orderliness, and neat zoning to guarantee readiness for customers at all times.
- Regularly rotate produce and remove expired items to uphold freshness and top quality.
- Verify that all produce items are correctly priced and signed, following procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labels, and signage.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols including temperature monitoring, use of thermometers, proper food handling, and observing sell-by and expiration dates.
- Stock and downstock merchandise as necessary, apply product protection measures, and arrange displays such as modulars, flex modulars, and shelf caps to keep the department well-stocked.
- Comply with all workplace Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to store requirements.
Challenges in this Role
- Effectively handle a high volume of tasks in a quick-paced environment, including managing overnight shifts while staying alert and energized.
- Meet demanding restocking and recovery workloads timely and accurately.
- Physical requirements include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs routinely and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing while maintaining attention to detail and consistency consistent with store standards.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is CAD 18.05.
