About the Role
The Produce Stocker position at Walmart Canada offers a valuable chance to develop skills within a fast-paced retail setting. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the produce area to ensure it is always presentable for customers.
- Regularly rotate produce items and remove expired products to uphold freshness and quality standards.
- Ensure all produce items have correct pricing and signage, adhering to procedures concerning ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, labeling, and signage accuracy.
- Comply with food safety protocols, including sanitation, temperature monitoring, correct handling, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Stock and downstock produce merchandise as required, apply product protection when necessary, and arrange modular displays to keep the department fully stocked and attractive.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies to maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Demonstrate flexibility in availability by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business requirements and ensure consistent customer service.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage a high volume of tasks in a rapidly changing work environment, particularly during overnight hours, maintaining focus and energy throughout.
- Handle physically demanding tasks such as standing for long stretches, bending, lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs routinely and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with consistent attention to detail and in line with store standards.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.20.
