• Regularly rotate produce items and promptly remove any that are expired to guarantee freshness and quality assurance.
• Ensure all produce is properly priced and clearly labeled, complying with correct procedures involving orders, clearances, price adjustments, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, including sanitation, temperature control, thermometer usage, correct handling, and observing sell-by and expiry dates.
• Stock and restock produce merchandise as needed, apply protective measures on products when required, and set up modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain full inventory.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to help sustain a safe and hygienic workplace environment.
• Maintain flexibility in availability, working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring consistency in service and store operation.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Manage a high workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, by planning and maintaining energy and focus.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Complete repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing, with careful attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.45 per hour.
