Key Duties

• Maintain the produce department's cleanliness, orderliness, and clear zoning to keep it customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce, removing expired goods to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Verify all produce pricing and signage for accuracy, handling procedures related to ordering, clearance, price adjustments, labels, and displays.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and cold chain standards, such as conducting temperature checks, using thermometers, proper food handling, and respecting sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as required, apply necessary product protections, and arrange modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain full shelves.
• Comply with health and safety protocols to sustain a secure and clean workplace.
• Demonstrate scheduling flexibility by being open to various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.

Challenges Related to the Position

• Manage overnight schedules thoughtfully to preserve energy and concentration.
• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting, ensuring timely and accurate restocking and recovery.
• Fulfill physical requirements by standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items typically weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive activities such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with precision to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
