Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning in the produce section to guarantee an inviting shopping area at all times.
• Regularly check produce quality by rotating stock and removing expired products to ensure freshness and high standards.
• Confirm that all produce items are accurately priced and signed according to ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labeling, and signage protocols.
• Adhere to food safety and cold chain guidelines including sanitation procedures, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, and honoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Manage stocking and downstocking tasks, apply necessary product protection, and arrange product displays such as modulars, flex modulars, and shelf caps to keep produce fully stocked.
• Follow health and safety regulations to sustain a safe, clean work environment.
• Be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support store operations and a consistent customer experience.

Challenges of the Position

• Handle high volumes of tasks in a fast-paced environment especially during overnight hours, requiring effective planning to stay energized and focused.
• Efficiently complete extensive restocking and recovery work while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Meet physical demands that involve standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive activities like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail to uphold store standards consistently.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.20.
