Key Responsibilities

• Assist members with product knowledge and provide excellent customer service in the produce department
• Sort, display, remove, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables ensuring all produce meets or exceeds quality standards
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery and on the sales floor to maintain freshness
• Maintain and organize reserve stock, date and rotate back stock items daily
• Dispose of damaged, spoiled, or expired products following established protocols
• Aid Fresh Manager with inventory management and order processing when needed
• Clean and sanitize produce equipment, fixtures, coolers, and refrigerated display cases
• Create and maintain accurate pricing signage and perform price checks as needed
• Abide by all company policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties including working in other departments as required
• Maintain consistent, full attendance as an essential job function

Qualifications and Physical Environment

• Prior produce department experience preferred
• Familiarity with fruits and vegetables, including seasonal varieties, is advantageous
• Must be at least 18 years old
• The role involves frequent movement on hard floors with activities such as bending, climbing, crawling, reaching, pulling, and stooping
• Regular lifting of items up to 30 pounds and occasional assistance required for heavier or awkward items over 30 pounds
• Work is inside with exposure to temperature variations from coolers, freezers, and ovens

Compensation

The estimated pay range for this position is $16.75 to $20.10 per hour, reflecting factors like location, education, experience, and qualifications.
