Job Overview

As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for sorting, displaying, replenishing, and removing fresh fruits and vegetables to maintain a pristine produce department. You'll assist members with product knowledge and customer service while ensuring all produce satisfies company quality standards.

• Assist members by answering questions, recommending products, and providing safe handling tips.
• Inspect, rotate, and store incoming produce to meet quality standards.
• Maintain stock areas by rotating back stock, organizing storage, and disposing of unsellable products responsibly.
• Support the Fresh Manager with inventory management and order processing.
• Clean and sanitize all produce-related fixtures and equipment, including coolers and display cases.
• Generate signage, perform price checks, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling for all produce items.
• Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other department duties as necessary, maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications and Conditions

• Previous experience in a produce department is preferred.
• Familiarity with fruits, vegetables, and seasonal items is advantageous.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Frequent movement on hard surfaces with physical activities including bending, climbing, crawling, and reaching.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds frequently and heavier objects with assistance.
• Work environment involves temperature variations such as freezers and coolers.

Compensation Information

The position starts with an estimated wage beginning at $16.25 per hour. Actual pay will depend on factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
