Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to join our Cairns Base maintenance team. This hands-on role primarily focuses on purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, parts, and equipment essential for business aircraft maintenance operations. Candidates with procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, freight, manufacturing, or related experience are encouraged to apply, even if without a traditional aviation background.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing tasks to support aircraft maintenance ensuring resources are obtained efficiently and delivered promptly.
• Manage purchase orders and act as liaison between suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely availability of parts and materials.
• Expedite orders and respond swiftly to urgent needs within a fast-moving maintenance environment.
• Assist with inventory and cost management to maintain purchasing accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee freight and customs processes associated with inbound shipments.
• Keep supplier and purchase records up to date and accurate.
• Resolve invoice issues and discrepancies related to goods receipt and supplier accounts professionally and quickly.
• Support warranty claims, returns, and exchange procedures as needed.
