Role Overview
The Procurement Officer position at EDGE involves managing the procurement of necessary goods, materials, and services to support business functions. The role requires collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure procurement is timely, cost-efficient, and conforms with established policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure goods and services by conducting Request for Quotations (RFQs) and evaluating supplier quotations.
- Generate purchase orders and manage procurement-related documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors to guarantee prompt delivery schedules.
- Maintain positive supplier relations and address procurement-related challenges.
- Ensure adherence to procurement rules and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) procedures.
- Keep detailed procurement records and contribute to enhancements in procurement processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in procurement or supply chain functions.
- Familiarity with ERP software systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of CIPS certification or equivalent procurement accreditation.
- Experience within manufacturing, defence, or industrial domains.
- Knowledge of contract administration and strategic sourcing methodologies.
