The company is recognized for its innovation in product and packaging ranges, offering a variety of stationery items such as ball pens, gel pens, roller pens, retractable ball pens, dark pencils, and other related products. Additionally, Linc Limited is the exclusive importer and distributor in India for major stationery brands including Deli and Uni-ball from Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Japan.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative procurement strategies focused on cost efficiency.
- Identify and engage dependable suppliers and vendors to meet organizational needs.
- Conduct negotiations to achieve favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Evaluate existing supply contracts to confirm their viability and effectiveness.
- Establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Authorize purchase orders and coordinate the timely receipt of goods and services.
- Carry out risk evaluations for prospective contracts and agreements.
- Manage the procurement budget rigorously to foster cost savings over the long term.
- Supervise IT systems related to shipment tracking, inventory management, and goods supply logistics.
- Generate detailed procurement reports for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments like production, engineering, quality, finance, and supply chain to synchronize sourcing with production and project timelines.
- Forecast cost trends including inflation and deflation impacts, contribute to budget planning, and assist engineering with packaging and equipment acquisition.
- Aid inventory control efforts, accelerate critical deliveries, and ensure supply continuity.
- Provide insights on minimum order quantities, lead times, and supplier logistics coordination.
- Analyze procurement data encompassing expenditures, savings, and supplier performance key metrics.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for senior management review.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Possess 10-15 years of cumulative experience in procurement encompassing domestic and import materials, inventory management, product development, and vendor relations.
- Exhibit at least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams within writing instruments, stationery, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrate expertise in sourcing raw materials such as plastic resins (PP, PE, ABS, SAN, TPE), inks, dyes, pigments, tips, packaging components (BOPP pouches, blisters, cartons, PDQs, dispensers), and promotional materials including moulds and machinery.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of vendor development for both domestic and international suppliers.
- Be familiar with import procedures, including handling letters of credit, customs documentation, and overseas supplier coordination for product development.
- Proficient in ERP software like SAP HANA and Oracle, advanced Microsoft Excel modeling, and capable of detailed data analysis.
- Skilled in preparing and reviewing contracts, managing invoicing, and negotiating contract terms.
- Strong multi-tasking, effective time management, and prioritization skills.
- Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
- Possess excellent analytical abilities and robust problem-solving skills.
