Job Overview

EMAR Saudi for Energy Works is seeking a seasoned Procurement Engineer to contribute to procurement operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing procurement processes specifically related to construction and electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct procurement activities for electrical and construction sectors.
• Identify and assess suppliers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment providers.
• Analyze project technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and related requirements.
• Gather and evaluate quotations, preparing detailed technical and commercial comparisons, and conduct negotiations for favorable deals.
• Issue purchase orders and collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and finance departments.
• Track shipment schedules, monitor supplier performance, and ensure procurement timelines are met.
• Focus on cost-effective buying while ensuring quality standards and project needs are upheld.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of five years of procurement experience in construction or contracting, preferably with entities such as National Grid Saudi, SEC, or SE.
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement protocols, supplier oversight, and technical material specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer software.
• Good command of the English language.
• Strong negotiation capabilities paired with effective communication and organizational skills.
• Capability to handle multiple procurement tasks simultaneously and adhere to project deadlines.
