Role Overview
The Procurement Coordinator will be based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, operating within the Supply Chain / Procurement Management department. This role demands oversight and execution of the entire purchasing process for project-related and raw material needs, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and ensuring seamless material logistics to support timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end purchasing activities encompassing project-specific acquisitions and raw material procurement.
- Prepare and issue formal Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and analyze commercial bids effectively.
- Create and process precise corporate Purchase Orders (POs) using the company’s ERP system.
- Assess and monitor supplier performance, reliability, and delivery efficiency across both domestic and international vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable commercial terms, pricing, and payment agreements.
- Maintain and regularly update an approved database of industrial suppliers.
- Closely track manufacturing schedules of active orders to prevent delays impacting project timelines.
- Coordinate expediting material supplies, shipment tracking, and customs clearance procedures.
- Communicate directly with on-site construction managers to address and resolve any material delivery discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or professional diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
Experience & Expertise
- At least two years of demonstrated success in procurement and purchasing functions.
- Prior experience in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or significant infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Hands-on, proactive approach to managing materials logistics and holding vendors accountable.
- Strong negotiation capabilities combined with effective interpersonal communication and commercial contract management skills.
- Familiarity with corporate procurement software and ERP modules.
