Job description
Role Overview
This full-time remote position combines multiple purchasing-oriented roles to assist in organizing and executing procurement tasks throughout the company. Key responsibilities include managing purchase orders, monitoring shipment schedules, and maintaining precise procurement documentation.
Primary Duties
- Coordinate and process purchase orders for various departments.
- Track delivery statuses to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of procurement activities and documentation.
- Support sourcing efforts by researching suppliers and evaluating pricing and contract terms.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to resolve order or invoice discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance and project teams to secure timely approvals aligned with project schedules.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of purchasing procedures and systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of purchasing workflows, including experience with purchase order processing and general procurement duties.
- Basic knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement best practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with various stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong organizational capabilities to handle multiple demands and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets and procurement or ERP software; comfortable operating within digital and remote environments.
- Ability to work autonomously while prioritizing tasks and solving problems efficiently in a dynamic and creative business context.
- Previous work experience in purchasing, procurement, operations, or administrative roles is preferred.
- Educational background in business, supply chain management, administration, or similar fields is advantageous but not mandatory if relevant experience is demonstrated.
