Processing Officer

About the role

This part-time permanent Processing Officer position is based at the Whakatane Operations Centre, where you will help keep parcel and freight flows moving smoothly so couriers can complete deliveries. The role is part of a team that works with modern, data-driven systems and a shared focus on serving New Zealand communities.

Shift details

• Hourly pay is $26.10 plus a night rate allowance of $3.21 per hour until 6:00am.
• Working hours are Monday from 4:00am to 8:00am and Saturday from 3:30am to 8:00am.
• The workplace address is 143A Commerce St, Whakatane.

What you will do

You will sort, consolidate, and send parcels and freight onward at the operations centre, helping prepare items for delivery by couriers. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, with an emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and keeping the site operating safely.

About you

We are looking for someone who can commit to the listed shifts, work well as part of a team, and help maintain a safe environment for themselves and others. You should be comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 25 kg, and bring strong attention to detail along with solid local geographical knowledge.
