Process Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Process Operator based in Port Hedland, Western Australia. This permanent position involves FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) work from Perth with a schedule of 14 days on followed by 7 days off. You will work 10-hour shifts starting at 6 am in site located within the township of Port Hedland, not a mining site.

Compensation includes a flat rate of $42.00 per hour, plus a daily food allowance of $35 and travel allowances. Accommodation is provided in shared houses with consistent room assignments for each rotation. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied. Full induction and training are part of the onboarding process.

Key Duties

• Operate and maintain processing machinery including forklifts, loaders, pumps, and various tools.
• Handle sorting and transfer of liquid waste from bulk and packaged containers.
• Take samples and perform testing and analysis on different waste streams.
• Identify faults in plant equipment and assist in maintenance and machine repairs.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, document, and report any issues observed.
• Comply strictly with all safety protocols and regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a valid Forklift Licence.
• Experience operating excavators or front-end loaders is advantageous.
• Background in processing or wastewater treatment facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with chemical handling is beneficial.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to work proficiently with hand tools.
• Good communication skills and capability to work effectively in a team environment.
