About the Role
This permanent, full-time position is based in Narangba, Queensland and offers a starting pay rate of $44.67 per hour, with additional penalty rates applied for overtime. The role requires working Monday to Friday with shifts beginning at 6 am, and shifts can extend up to 10 hours. Full uniforms and comprehensive training will be provided.
About Cleanaway's Oils and Technical Services Division
The Oils and Technical Services (OTS) division provides specialized support services beyond standard household waste management. This team handles the collection, treatment, processing, and recycling of liquid and hazardous wastes, including industrial waste, paints, and oils.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles carrying packaged waste.
- Decant, clean, repackage, store, and appropriately dispose of packaged waste materials.
- Sample and treat packaged wastes according to specified directions.
- Perform waste sample analysis tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness across the site.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Preferable prior experience working in machine or plant environments.
- Experience in operating industrial machinery is advantageous.
- Licenses such as Forklift, Excavator, Loader, or HR license are highly desirable.
- Background in waste processing or wastewater treatment facilities is a plus.
- Applicants should be physically fit due to the demanding nature of the role.
- Familiarity with chemical handling is favorable.
- A current car licence is required.
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment medical examinations and drug screening tests.
