Process Executive - Insurance Risk

Overview

The role of the Risk Specialist involves accurately and promptly conducting an annual review of counterparties, establishing precise credit limits that contemplate potential exposure for existing and new business partners. This responsibility encompasses evaluating financial statements, reviewing customers' payment histories and terms, calculating mark to market limits and potential future exposure, and securing credit through insurance. For credit limits exceeding USD 350,000, scorecard preparation and obtaining necessary approvals in line with Bunge's global credit policy are essential. This role significantly influences Bunge's global business operations with its partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Update insurance premiums within required timelines.
• Maintain cash calls and update cash books.
• Regularly update premium underwriting reports.
• Manage loss billing and cargo claim settlements.
• Liaise with insurers and brokers to follow up on claim settlements.
• Reconcile balance sheets accurately.
• Review claims payments and determine reserves.
• Manage insurance management information systems and stock statements.
• Provide training and guidance to trainees and new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with various teams and departments involved.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of finance, insurance risk, and trading concepts, including managing claims and premium settlements and coordinating payments with insurers and brokers to avoid backlogs or penalties.
• Experience in accounting and finance, credit risk management, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Attention to detail, results-oriented approach, and ability to lead reconciliation discussions with key stakeholders such as commercial teams, finance partners, and market risk groups.
• Dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and produce quality work under pressure.
• Strong numerical accuracy and meticulousness.
• Proficient written and spoken English communication.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
• Experience managing personnel and processes through continuous change.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• University degree such as Graduation, MBA, CMA, or CA.
• 2 to 3 years professional experience in finance, accounting, risk, or credit functions, ideally within the agricultural industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Shared Services Centre environment.
• Handling high volumes of transactions efficiently.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Exposure to the commodity industry.
