Process Assistant, Fulfillment Center

Overview

Amazon strongly values data-driven approaches and customer satisfaction. Ensuring timely and quality order fulfillment is critical, especially as fulfillment center (FC) processes require substantial manual effort involving numerous associates. The Process Assistant role plays a key part as a frontline leader who guides and mentors associates to meet customer expectations by adhering to standard work practices focused on safety and quality.

Work Schedule

The position entails a 5-day work week with rotating scheduled days off due to the center's 7-day operation cycle, based on shifts and business necessities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage daily shift operations efficiently.
• Handle administrative tasks related to associate management.
• Allocate tasks and jobs to associates effectively.
• Supervise and mentor associates to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Monitor order counts and troubleshoot queue challenges.
• Take ownership of shift quality and execute necessary action plans.
• Develop and carry out training and development plans for associates.
• Perform daily 4M and 5S audits for assigned workstations.
• Step in as the Area Manager when required.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Amazon Amnesty Floor Monitoring experience.
